About This Experience

We The Curious (formerly At-Bristol) is Bristol's award-winning science and arts centre located in the vibrant Harbourside area. The centre features over 250 hands-on exhibits spread across multiple themed areas designed to spark curiosity and encourage exploration. The All About Us gallery explores human biology, health, and psychology through interactive displays including brain games, optical illusions, and physical challenges. Curiosity Zone features exhibits covering physics, engineering, and natural phenomena - visitors can create tornadoes, build structures to test in the earthquake simulator, and experiment with forces and motion. The Planetarium is one of the UK's finest, offering immersive shows about space, astronomy, and cosmic phenomena in a state-of-the-art digital dome. The 3D Theatre presents science and nature documentaries in stunning stereoscopic format. The centre's Live Science programme includes daily demonstrations, experiments, and shows performed by skilled science communicators covering topics from chemistry explosions to liquid nitrogen ice cream making. The Animation studio allows visitors to create their own stop-motion films using professional equipment. Creative workshops during school holidays include coding, robotics, art-science fusion projects, and engineering challenges. The outdoor areas feature sustainable technology displays and a wildflower garden exploring ecology and biodiversity. We The Curious particularly excels at linking science to real-world issues like sustainability, making it both educational and socially relevant. The harbourside location allows families to combine their visit with walks, cafes, and other Bristol attractions.
